The ICC sure looks amazing
Opening this December, the ICC Theatre (what we all knew as the Sydney Entertainment Centre) will be giving country rocker Keith Urban the honour of headlining its first ever show. The venue will be part of a much larger, ultra-modern building called the ICC (International Convention Centre) and is the result of a $3.4 billion metamorphosis of Darling Harbour.
Much like Neil Armstrong, Urban and his band will be the first to set foot on the uncharted, the venue boasting an innovating fan-shaped design, the largest purpose built stage (44m) in Australia and sitting 9,000 people.
ICC Sydney's CEO, Geoff Donaghy, says, "We are thrilled to have a famous Australian icon launch what will be one of the nation’s leading entertainment venues.
"ICC Sydney Theatre will provide visitors with an unparalleled experience and is just one of our premium entertainment venues within the integrated precinct which will host a year-round calendar of events including major concerts, comedy shows, theatrical performances and more."

The Hon. Stuart Ayres, Minister for Trade, Tourism, Major Events and Sport says the Urban show "shows the immense pulling power of the venue and the team behind it" and will help boost tourism and the economy.
The December 14 show is apart of Urban's ripCORD World Tour Australia 2016.
