Country Music Label WJO Partners With Universal Music

""We now look forward to our next chapter with Universal Music Australia."

Starting from the ground up six years ago as a distribution label, WJO has since become a full-fledged record label, taking care of physical, digital, publishing, licensing and marketing all in-house.

The independently owned country music label has now announced they'll be forming a distribution partnership with industry masthead Universal Music Australia. WJO is currently home to British-born American Suzi Quatro among other mainstream artists.

WJO co-owners Will Osland and Drew Doran said of the announcement: "To have built what we have, completely independent, all in house, no middle men, on our own terms and with our own finances has been such an incredible experience.

"We now look forward to our next chapter with Universal Music Australia."

The news follows on from the recent partnership Universal Music Australia made with YouTube talent roster Boom Collective.
