Counting Crows Expand 2026 Australian Tour

Demand for Counting Crows’ 2026 Australian tour is booming, with the American band adding an extra show after already selling out one date.

Last week, it was announced that the band, led by charismatic vocalist Adam Duritz, would return to Australia and New Zealand in April 2026, with dates scheduled in Auckland, Adelaide, Sydney, and Melbourne.

Pre-sale tickets were made available last Thursday and Friday, with the general sale opening on Monday. Already, the band’s show at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre has sold out, and due to phenomenal demand, a second show at the venue has been added to the itinerary.

With the new date added, Counting Crows will perform at Auckland’s Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre on Monday, 23 March, Adelaide’s Festival Theatre on Friday, 27 March, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Sunday, 29 March (sold out), and Monday, 30 March, and Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Wednesday, 1 April.

Counting Crows are touring in support of their recently released new album, Butter Miracle, The Complete Sweets!, which features the single Spaceman In Tulsa. The rock band won over Australian fans in 1993 with their hit Mr Jones from their debut album, August And Everything After, and have remained consistent visitors for their fans Down Under.

Reviewing the band’s performance at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre in 2023, The Music’s David James Young concluded, “It may all be on their terms, but a Counting Crows show is a thoroughly communal experience. Who needs Accidentally In Love when the audience is already so very intentionally in love?”
