Counting Crows Announce 2023 Australian Tour

Counting Crows have announced they will tour Australia next year on The Butter Miracle Tour; the shows occur between their appearance at Bluesfest 2023.

The group are promoting their latest release, the four-track, 19-minute EP Butter Miracle Suite One, which came out last year.

The tour begins at Adelaide's Hindley Street Music Hall on Thursday, 30 March, before stopping at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne on Tuesday, 4 April, appearing at Bluesfest on Friday, 7 April, and concluding their run at Sydney's Enmore Theatre on Sunday, 9 April. 

The Live Nation pre-sale begins at 10 am Wednesday, 9 November runs for 24 hours. Live Nation will sell general public tickets at 11 am on Thursday, 10 November. Bluesfest tickets are on sale now.

Counting Crows won over Australian fans in 1993 with their hit Mr Jones from their debut album, August And Everything After. 

They recorded Accidentally In Love for the Shrek 2 soundtrack in 2004 and subsequently received accolades such as the Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song at the 2005 Academy Awards, a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song, and a GRAMMY Award nomination for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.  

The 34th Bluesfest will be held over the Easter Long Weekend in the Byron Shire from Thursday, 6 April to Monday, 10 April 2023. 

Counting Crows were added to the lineup as part of the second announcement, alongside Allison Russell, The Doobie Brothers, Nathaniel Rateliff And The Nightsweats, Vintage Trouble, and St Paul And The Broken Bones.

All 5-Day Season tickets, including festival entry, camping and add-ons, parking and VIP, are on sale now via the Bluesfest website. 

Located just 10 minutes north of Byron Bay, NSW, Australia, the festival is well-situated and surrounded by the charming village of Mullumbimby and the beach towns of Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads. It's an experience that music fans don't forget.
