Sydney punk/post-hardcore duo Corpus have come out of hibernation and will return to the stage this April.

The locals have announced five east coast shows as part of the 'Instant Gratification' tour. Corpus have spent the past few months writing new music, with the shows to serve as a precursor before the band enters the studio to record their debut full-length.

An accompanying statement reads:

"Some of you may be wondering why we've been so quiet lately.

Well, this is the end...

...of a long and productive writing process! Which means your two favourite drongos are gearing up to release some v. hot content later in 2016!

In the meantime, and because we have terrible impulse control, we made the snap decision to scoot up and down the east coast because we miss playing and we miss you!

So if you're in Sydney, Newy, Brissy or Melby in April, come catch us playing all the hits and maybe some super fresh cuts from that secret release that we aren't telling people about yet."
