Cooking Vinyl Australia Signs Deal with Thirty Tigers in Nashville

9 July 2014 | 1:21 pm | Staff Writer

The partnership is another feather in the cap for the hot-property indie label

Busy-as-a-bee indie label Cooking Vinyl Australia has announced it will enter a new label services deal with Nashville-based entertainment company Thirty Tigers. The fledgling partnership will see CVA representing Thirty Tigers' artist roster throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Thirty Tigers has offices on both US coasts, with branches in LA, New York, North Carolina and London. The company has garnered a solid reputation over its thirteen-year life for its management and label services, currently representing artists such as the iconic Lucinda Williams, Jason Isbell, Patty Griffin, The Avett Brothers, Ryan Bingham, drunk-punk vets Flogging Molly and several more.

“Thirty Tigers is a company I've wanted to be involved with for many years,” Cooking Vinyl Australia co-head Leigh Gruppetta said of the deal. “The way they nurture and develop their brilliant roster of artists is exemplary and we felt they were a great fit for our business. We're elated to be working with [founder] David [Macias] and his team.”

The announcement comes relatively hot on the heels of the recent revelation of Cooking Vinyl Australia's new partnership with US indie label Razor & Tie, which joins existing collaborators Resist Records (Sydney) and Dine Alone Records (Canada) on CVA's list of international teammates.

“We're thrilled to join the Cooking Vinyl family in Australia and New Zealand,” Macias said in a statement. “They already represent some great labels, and having a partner with credibility is important. And of course Leigh and [co-head] Stuart [Harvey] bring immense experience and the right spirit to the relationship. We couldn't be more excited to be working with them.”
