Sydney's Blue Velvet > David Lynch's Blue Velvet.
Sydney punk rock newcomers, Blue Velvet, have a brand new song out today and it goes by the name of 'Remedy'. Yay? Yay.
With gruff but warm vocals, a tasteful amount of hazy chorus, dreamy melodies, bittersweet lyrics, and a strong pop-punk aesthetic, this new single is a great listen all up I'd say. Seriously, fans of Our Past Days, Polar Bear Club, Turnover, & Columbus should all feel right at home with this song.
Oh, and speaking of Columbus, Blue Velvet will also be supporting the Brisbane pop-punk trio, along with Horror My Friend and PLTS for the Sydney leg of Columbus's Spring Forever tour on November 11th at the Newtown Social Club. Tickets for that show can be purchased here.
This new track from the NSW four-piece was recorded, mixed & mastered by Clayton Segelov at The Brain Recording Studios and the accompanying film clip (found just below) was directed & filmed by Jared Leibowitz. Stream/watch/enjoy 'Remedy' below.
