Coldplay On Track For Sixth #1 Aus Album

In the calm before the Christmas music storm, Coldplay are looking to take out #1 on this week’s ARIA Albums chart.

Midweek figures predict the British rockers will debut in the top 3 with their eighth studio album, Everyday Life, if they’re able to fend off Robbie Williams’ The Christmas Present and Rod Stewart’s You’re In My Heart LP with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, both of which are also primed for high placings.

If Coldplay’s latest album hits the top spot on the ARIA Albums chart, it will mark their sixth #1 album in Australia.

Other albums expected to make a splash this week include Human Nature’s latest best of, Still Telling Everybody (top 10), Jason Aldean’s 9 (top 15), Leonard Cohen’s Thanks For The Dance (top 15) and Beck’s Hyperspace (top 30).

Over on the Singles chart, Scottish favourite Lewis Capaldi will likely crack the top 30 with Before You Go, while Khalid’s Up All Night and Ant Saunders’ Yellow Hearts both debut in the top 40.
