At next week's APRA Awards.
Aussie music icons Cold Chisels have been announced as the 2016 recipient of the Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music, which will be presented to them at next week's APRA Music Awards in Sydney.
With a career spanning over 40 years, almost seven million albums sold and a spot in Australia's ARIA Hall Of Fame, the Adelaide-founded outfit's contribution to the country's music scene is unquestionable.
Cold Chisel will join a list of past recipients that boast the likes of Paul Kelly, Slim Dusty, The Seekers and Jimmy Little.
This year's APRA Music Awards will take place at Carriagworks on Tuesday 5 April and a number of big name artists are set to perform at the event, including The Living End, Guy Sebastian, Urthboy, Ngaiire, Gang Of Youths and many more.
