Bassist Nathan Ellis revealed the decision in a blog, thanking fans for their support but saying that the Kansas act believed that the hiatus is coming at the right time.

"It's been a fun couple of years. We've had excellent tours with bands we love... been to Europe, East Coast, West Coast, released a new record and a follow up EP, played some great Festivals and had the opportunity to see some old friends, and meet a ton of new people."

The band released their latest album, "Ox", in 2009, a gap of almost ten years after their last full-length.
