"Clever Species is a band from Perth, WA. The band contains 3/5 of the original Jaws line up. Aaron Levey sings + plays guitar, Chris Onton plays bass + sings and Rhys Davies plays Guitar + drums + sings. After 2.5 months of practice, the band recorded their debut release- ''Modern Problems!'' with Al Smith at Bergerk Studios in June 2008. The band's sound is influenced by Devo, Deathside, Wipers, Paintbox, Poison Idea, Turbonegro, The Hives, RKL, Adolescents, The Eastern Dark, Negative Approach, Cheap Trick, The Dwarves, The Meanies, Rupture, Tragedy and Bad Religion. ''Modern Problems!'' will be released on Resist Records in Winter 2009. Some east coast dates will follow."
