Midweek charts all about reality TV, pop stars and Nickelback
The Christmas-targeted releases are set to dominate the ARIA Charts this week, with reality TV singers and global pop stars looking to take hold.
According to midweek figures, X-Factor winner Dami Im is the biggest challenger to the top spot on the charts this week with her self-titled record. Eminem's now spent two weeks at number one with The Marshall Mathers LP2, fighting off two of the industry's biggest names, Lady Gaga (two) and Katy Perry (three), in the process. Im's should have enough first-week sales to land in the mix of the top three.
Beyond that debuts will come from Little Mix with Salute, Robbie Williams with Swing Both Ways and Nickelback with The Best Of Nickleback Volume 1.
Spiderbait's new self-titled album, their first in almost ten years, will be this week's highest local debut on the album charts and has a shot at the top 25 at this point, behind Jake Bugg's Shangri-La but ahead of The Hunger Games: Chasing Fire soundtrack.

The big moves up the chart will come from Michael Buble's Christmas, which finds itself near the top every year, the ever-present Fleetwood Mac's 25 Years – The Chain and stocking stuffer Bruno Mars' Unorthodox Jukebox.
X-Factor's previous winner Samantha Jade will also enter this week's chart, with midweek figures noting her as the probably top singles debut with Solder, Magic!. The John Buter Trio's new track The Only One will also enter, as will Timomatic's Everything Is Allowed.
Guy Sebastian's Like A Drum will continue to climb from 12 and close the gap on current number one – Eminem and Rihanna's The Monster. Birdy's Wings, James Blunt's Bonfire Heart and John Legend's All Of Me are also experiencing sales jumps.
