The duo join 30 faces of Australian music, screen, and stage supporting the campaign.
Thor, God Of Thunder, no - Chris Hemsworth and Jessica Mauboy are the newest ambassadors for this year's Ausmusic T-Shirt Day campaign. Last week, Darren Hayes, Casey Donovan, and the one and only Kylie Minogue were announced as the head ambassadors.
Clive Miller, CEO of Support Act, has shared, "Chris Hemsworth has always been a big supporter of Australian Music, wearing a Teskey Brothers t-shirt in this year's campaign, so to have someone of his standing alongside such an incredible artist as Jess Mauboy, really takes our fundraiser and awareness of music workers in need to the next level."
Jess Tarpey, the COO of Mushroom Creative House, added, "The Mushroom Group has always fostered an incredibly close relationship with Support Act, which is why we were delighted to take on this project pro bono. Following the last few tricky years, it has never been more important to support the health and welfare of workers in the music industry. We loved pulling together such a broad range of talent for such a great cause."
Hemsworth and Mauboy are joining over 30 Australian heavy hitters from music, screen, and stage, including 046, Andrea Lam, Ball Park Music, Beccy Cole, Cat Hope, Catherine Alcorn, Charm of Finches, Claire Edwards, Clint Stanaway, Cub Sport, Dave Gleeson, Devy, Ella Hooper, James Reyne, Jane Gazzo, John Coutis, Kristal West, Ladybeard, Mitch Tambo, Ocean Grove, Rob Mills, Siobhan Stagg, Tania Doko, Teeny Tiny Stevies and Urthboy.
Ausmusic T-Shirt Day is an annual event focusing on communal fun to raise awareness of Australian musicians and urgently-needed funds for music workers in crisis. Support Act provides the money raised from the campaign for crisis relief, mental health and well-being of artists, the Support Act Wellbeing Hotline, and support for First Nations people.
This year's campaign hosts limited edition Premium T-shirts featuring an incredible line-up of Aussie artists, including Bag Raiders, Casey Donovan, DMA'S, Hoodoo Gurus, Jaguar Jonze, King Stingray, Midnight Oil, Montaigne, Paul Kelly, The Chats, The Wiggles and Troy Cassar-Daley.
