Chris Duke and The Royals announce WA tour

Party punker's Chris Duke and The Royals are headed back to Perth in April for their Music and Maniacs WA tour. It will be a year to the day since CDATR maiden voyage to our western shores and their return is highly anticipated. They are doing the national support for American ska punk heavyweights Streetlight Manifesto, sadly they are not touring Perth so CDATR are making a special trip.

Chris Duke and The Royals are coming to Perth to promote their latest eight track EP 'Music and Maniacs'.  This album dabbles with the not so serious themes such as partying in Perth with good mates The Decline, nightmares about zombies, missing siblings and gaining cysts, loving condiments and getting old.

The Music and Maniacs WA Tour will consist of four shows kicking off on the 14 April through to 17 April.  As a special treat for Perth's awaiting audiences they are also including a full ska/punk rendition of The Lion King Soundtrack on Friday 15 April!

Chris Duke and the Royals have been described as 'a ska band that doesn't really play ska, mixed with a punk band that doesn't really play punk', one thing is certain is that their brand of fun filled upbeat vibes always ensures a high energy good time for all involved.

Chris Duke and The Royals have been playing the Sydney circuit since 2005, formed a loyal fan base and have been putting babies to sleep since 2010.  They have supported great acts such as Bedouin Soundclash (CAN), Guttermouth (USA), The Flatliners (CAN), The Real Deal (CAN), Area 7 and Dan Potthast (USA) and even realised childhood dreams by playing alongside Deni Hines at the Cruelty Free Festival.  The original five piece has recently seen the inclusion of their best mate Andy "Mad Dog" McDougall on trombone and vocals making them a six piece band with tonnes of harmonies and horns.
