The music of late grunge legend Chris Cornell is set to fly back onto the ARIA charts this week, following the tragic death of the artist last week

Midweek figures indicate that Soundgarden's Superunknown LP will re-enter the top five of the Albums chart (after peaking at #1 on the list back in 1994), while Audioslave's 2002 self-titled debut record should surge into the top ten.

Cornell's 2011 live album, Songbook, will climb its way into the top 20, while his last solo record, Higher Truth, as well as Soundgarden's King Animal and compilation A-Sides, Audioslave's Out Of Exile and Revelations, should all appear in the top 50.

Over on the Singles chart, Soundgarden's iconic track Black Hole Sun will make its way back into the top 40 after it originally peaked at #6.

Back on the Albums chart, Harry Styles is expected to defend the #1 spot against Ed Sheeran's ÷ (Divide) and the returning Linkin Park's One More Light which should land in the top three.

Other albums debuting on the chart this week include Papa Roach's Crooked Teeth (top 15), Rascal Flatt's Back To Us (top 20), Pierce BrothersThe Records Were Ours and Dragonforce's Reaching Into Infinity (both top 30).

Expect to also see the deluxe edition of Blink-182's Grammy-nominated 2016 LP, California, surge into the top ten.

Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee will be in a fight to defend their #1 track, Despacito, featuring Justin Bieber, on the Singles chart against DJ Khaled's I'm The One and at this stage it's unlikely any of the debuting tracks will challenge for top spot.

Making its way onto the list this week includes One Direction's Liam Payne with Strip That Down, featuring Quavo (top ten), Selena GomezBad Liar (top 15), Katy Perry's Swish Swish featuring Nicki Minaj (top 40), Imagine DragonsThunderLogic's 1-800-273-8255, featuring Alessia Cara & Khalid and Camila Cabello's Crying In The Club (all top 50).
