The New York dance-punk greats have announced two standalone outings, with more in the pipeline.
Celebrated New York-based dance-punk outfit !!! (Chk Chk Chk) have announced a pair of headline shows to complement their impending slot at Meredith Music Festival.
With more dates yet to be announced, the band will take to The Curtin, Melbourne, and Sydney's Oxford Art Factory this December, bringing their renowned live energy to eager ears and bodies for a mayhemic couple of nights.
!!! released their seventh studio album, Shake The Shudder, back in May to boradly positive reviews, its songs benefiting from the band's habit of recording their more improvisational moments.
“Most of the songs on Shake The Shudder are based off of jams, and since we record every jam, most of the tracks here feature moments we actually recorded from those jams," frontman Nic Offer said in a statement. "Most artists have to dig through the crates to find that one sample nobody has used but we can sample ourselves, having been playing this style of music for a while now. As a band we try to play it the way the JBs would, as producers we try to mix it the way a DJ would.”
