Chet Faker Announces Australian Homecoming Tour

Chet Faker announces his biggest Australian tour to date which will be the last for his breakthrough debut 'Built on Glass'

After an insanely big year, selling out 3 shows at Sydney's Enmore Theatre and Melbourne's Forum Theatre, Chet Faker (Nicholas Murphy) is pleased to announce his biggest Australian tour to date, which will be the last tour for his breakthrough debut LP 'Built On Glass'.

In this day, it is so easy for musicians to become lost within the plethora of ever evolving genres, and to create something which is truly their own. This has not been the case for Chet, he has created something completely original and with such finesse, he has taken his childhood musical inspirations of jazz and soul and infused them with the more modern electronic trip-hop sounds.

Faker single-handedly wrote, performed and produced Built On Glass in a hand-built studio at the disused Melbourne Meat Market and released it in April and left everyone looking and listening in awe. The album has already picked up three ARIA Awards and has been nominated for the 2014 J Award for Australian Album of the year, as well as the lead single Talk Is Cheap being accredited Gold. Chet's talent has not only received praise from his home but all over Europe and America, with a sold-out show at the Iconic Webster Hall in New York and selling over 23,000 tickets across Europe and the UK.

His most recent recording was an exclusive six track iTunes session featuring highlights from Built On Glass and the Thinking In Textures EP. It will be released globally on Friday 28th November and is available for pre-order on iTunes.
