Next year's leading heavy music festival in Victoria (and if we're being honest, in Australia) has had the playing times released to the public. As for which bands are ending either night, many would have guessed correctly with local trailblazers Northlane headlining the Friday night and Canada's Alexisonfire, arguably one of the biggest drawcards of the whole thing, ending the Saturday night events.

Check out the set times below.

Now, the real beauty of this festival is that one stage means absolutely no clashes. I've lost count of the times that I have half missed or missed entire sets from bands at Soundwave over the years so a setup like Unify's is a godsend, really. Another thing you'll notice about the set times is that there are no bands playing on Sunday; the third and final day of the festival. According to organizers, that is because "the last two years we’ve noticed that the Sunday bands weren’t quite as well attended as the night before. We want to make sure every main stage artist is given the best opportunity to be seen, so we’ve taken a new approach to the Sunday."

Good. Move.

However, to ensure that the festival maintains its desired chill vibe, DJs, acoustic sets (made up mostly singers from bands that played on the previous two days), a small marketplace, and a stall with limited edition photo prints taken by photographer Neal Walters will also be set up to keep up punter interest as people start heading out and just so everyone doesn't stand around drinking beer and getting sunburnt. (Perfectly good use of your time by the way). Oh and on top of all that, there is apparently a Unify compilation album coming soon a la Soundwave's two disc releases and will include tracks from all featured artists, as well as a fold out poster on the album's physical version.

Finally, according to the event's organizers, the ticket numbers for the festival have hit the final 1000 or so. Considering that the past two years sold out, this should by all accounts be looking to sell out as well. So be among the last few hundred punters and get your tickets here.
