UK company Bad World, known for making and releasing liquid-filled vinyl, has opened its Vault to release a new version of Charli XCX’s remix album, brat and it’s completely different but also still brat.
Upending brat-green for black and white album art, the vinyl in question is an exclusive pressing, with white powder filling the LP and a white second disc. A cheeky new pressing, Bad World, in collaboration with Blood Records, has drawn from the themes of the exceedingly popular album, including Charli’s “365 party girl,” cocaine-enjoying ethos (albeit with some melancholy and reflections on femininity).
The record is available to purchase for another 12 hours for £55.00 (or $110 AUD). The new brat LP is available for pre-order before its 28 February release date – pre-order your copy here.
You can check out a video teaser of the record below.
Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat is a collaborative project featuring artists including Billie Eilish, Lorde, Troye Sivan, Julian Casablancas (of The Strokes fame), Robyn, Ariana Grande, The Japanese House, Kesha, and more on remixes.
Charli, who was previously best known for her track Boom Clap and featuring on the Icona Pop hit I Love It, has long been a cult figure in music with her experimental takes on pop and electronic music. But with brat, she successfully made the leap from beloved underground performer to a household name, with the world wholeheartedly embracing brat summer.
