Ah, Ceres, I've missed having you in my life. Sure, it's been almost two years since your last release, but that all is forgiven now that you have a new album coming out.
Ah, Ceres, I've missed having you in my life. Sure, it's been almost two years since your last release, but that all is forgiven now that you have a new album coming out.
'Drag It Down On You' (which is just such a Ceres title) is the name of the band's new album, and the follow-up release to the rather excellent 'I Don't Want To Be Anywhere But Here' and the sweet 7" EP, 'Selfish Prick'. The first song off of the upcoming release, 'Happy In Your Head', premiered today though TheMusic.com.au and honestly, it's good to know that new music is on the way from these Melbourne lads.
The band's singer, Tom Lanyon, explained the new song's meaning:
"Happy In Your Head is about finally realising you aren’t in someone’s life anymore. You’re just a memory in their head, and for some sick, sad reason - you are happy enough with that. That that’ll do. It’s the best you’ve got."
Cheery stuff, really.
