CC:Disco!Melbourne artist CC:Disco has announced a series of special shows in celebration of First Light: Volume 1, a collaborative release with label Soothsayer that shines a spotlight on emerging and underground artists.
The shows will be in a format similar to the new LP, with the First Light With CC:Disco Australian tour featuring a selection of artists from the release at shows around the country across February and March.
CC:Disco has curated the bills herself, with rising and underground stars The Possé, Andy Garvey, Emma Stevenson, Rings Around Saturn and more signing on.
The tour news coincides with the release of another First Light single, Freda’s Jam, from Sydney artist James i.V.
“Could be the bar in Sydney? Is it a love interest? James’ dog? I don’t know. I played it a couple of times on the radio, it’s quite deep, this takes the tempo back down,” CC:Disco said of the tune.
“A palette cleanser. It’s a really full sounding track. It could fit into all sorts of sets."
