“I wanna know why we have 12.5 million attendances at gigs in this state every damn year, and not every musician, small business and punter is a paid up member!”

The Music Victoria Membership Drive has officially kicked off today and a number of Aussie acts and industry figures, including Camp Cope, Kylie Auldist, Jo Syme of Big Scary and James Young of Melbourne's Cherry Bar, have all shown their support for the cause by featuring in a new video.

Offering huge discounts and professional development opportunities, new and existing members of Music Victoria who renew between today and 31 March will go into the running for a slew of prizes such as tickets to Groovin The Moo in Bendigo, the 2017 Reclink Community Cup and gigs in revered Melbourne venues like The Croxton, Northcote Social Club, The Toff In Town, Karova Lounge and more.

The theme of this year's promotional video is 'the usual suspects' and as Music Victoria CEO, Patrick Donovan, says, "I wanna know why we have 12.5 million attendances at gigs in this state every damn year, and not every musician, small business and punter is a paid up member!"
