‘I Stay Out Of It. I Cook’: Even After 13 Years Between Albums, Coming Up With A Karnivool Setlist Remains Quite The Feat

Calerway sign to Taperjean

"After touring as much of their hometown as possible, and more..."

Official Press Release:

Taperjean Records is proud to welcome Perth’sCalerway to their ever growing roster which features some of

Australia’s most promising acts Fifty Sixx, Closure In Moscow and The

Mission In Motion, and a host of internationals.

After touring as

much of their hometown as possible, and more, CALERWAY embarked on

the Blood.Sweat.Years tour in mid-2008, deservingly scoring supports

alongside the likes of Something With Numbers and Angela’s Dish. It

wasn’t the heavyweights though, who took all the attention at the

shows, with Calerway walking away from 12 shows in 10 days with smiles on

their faces and a legion of new fans behind them.

Fronted by the

unique voice of Jaun Paul Rebola, CALERWAY’s music has been

compared to one of Perth’s greatest exports of recent years,

Gyroscope, as well as the more experienced tones of Jimmy Eat World and

Anberlin. “I think there are two types of bands,”explains Rebola. “There are the bands that follow what has been

done, do it very well and achieve success for the duration of a fad; and

there are bands that create their own thing. Our intention has always been

the latter.”

With this attitude, as well as some of

Australia’s freshest and finely-tuned music behind them in the form

of debut album Midnight Mercenaries which will be available

nationally Sat September 20th and features a bonus disc of videos, acoustic

tracks and more. To Coincide with the release Calerway will be hitting the

road nationally with The Matches

(USA).
