Cable Ties Announce Australian Tour In Support Of Forthcoming Album

More Cable Ties Cable Ties Profile

To celebrate their new single and video for Self-Made Man ahead of their forthcoming album release, Aussie punk outfit Cable Ties have announced a headline tour of the country.

With the record, Far Enough, due out on 27 March, the Melbourne trio will kick off the tour at Gaytimes 2020 in February in Yarra Valley before moving on to play in Darebin, Sydney, Farmer & The Owl festival in Wollongong, Port Kembla, Canberra, Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Fremantle and Brisbane.

"The self-made man created wealth through the exploitation of other people and abuse of public resources," guitarist Jenny McKechnie said of the new single.

"He doesn’t care about the suffering of others because — in his eyes — he got what he deserved through hard work, and they have not. It is inconvenient for the self-made man to analyse systems of oppression which he has manipulated for his own gain.

"Those things are just a distraction from hard work and getting what you want."

Tickets for the tour are on sale now. For more details, click on theGuide.
