BROCKHAMPTON have confirmed they've parted ways with former member Ameer Vann following sexual misconduct allegations made against the rapper earlier this month.

As Pitchfork reports, alt-indie singer-songwriter Rhett Rowan, who claimed to previously be in a relationship with Vann, alleged he was "emotionally manipulative and mentally abusive" and later accused him of having sexual relations with a minor.

BROCKHAMPTON have issued a statement regarding Vann's departure.

"Ameer is no longer in BROCKHAMPTON," the statement reads.

"We want to sincerely apologize to the victims affected by Ameer’s actions. We were lied to, and we’re sorry for not speaking up sooner.

"We do not tolerate abuse of any kind. This is not a solution to their suffering, but we hope this is a step in the right direction."

The Texas-founded group have cancelled the remaining dates on their US tour to "regroup".

Vann denied the allegations in a series of tweets earlier this month, writing, "In response to the claims of emotional and sexual abuse: although my behavior has been selfish, childish, and unkind, I have never criminally harmed anyone or disrespected their boundaries/

"I have never had relations with a minor or violated anybody's consent."

BROCKHAMPTON were last week confirmed to be heading to Australia this year in support of Listen Out 2018.
