Brisbane Festival has pre-released three shows from this year's program — En, Avant Marche!, La Verità and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
En, Avant Marche! is the latest work from world-renown theatre maker Alain Platel. With over 30 performers on stage (including Brisbane's very own Excelsior Brass Band), it promises to be a rousing fusion of theatre, music and dance.
Just as awe-inspiring is La Verità, which takes the audience into the wacky mind of Salvador Dali. The surreal circus extravaganza was written and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, whose previous work includes an Olympic Opening Ceremony and productions for Cirque De Soleil.
Shakespearean classic A Midsummer Night's Dream will grace Brisbane's stages in its 400th anniversary year. The comic masterpiece comes from two former Royal Shakespeare Company collaborators, who now lead two of London's most adventurous theatres.

These shows join the already-announced Snow White series, an opera-cabaret spectacle from France's greatest contemporary ballet, with costumes from Jean Paul Gautier.
The full program will be released in late June, with over 70 performances.
This year's event runs from September 3 to 24, with early-release tickets on sale at 9am, April 28. Tickets and further information are available via the festival's website.
