Brisbane Edition Of 'The Music' To Go Fortnightly

And gets bigger

Today's issue of the Brisbane edition of The Music — published by the owners of theMusic.com.au — will be the last weekly run of the free entertainment magazine.

Editor Steve Bell announced that the paper would be going fortnightly in a letter to readers in today's paper.

"After two years on the street as a weekly publication in South-East Queensland – 35 years on the street taking the history of the magazine’s predecessor Time Off into account – The Music is taking the significant step of going fortnightly.

He added that there will be other changes, writing that they will be "making dramatic improvements to the quality, layout and scope of coverage".

Publisher Leigh Treweek said the changes will be beneficial for the Brisbane market, "The Music is dedicated to supplying the Brisbane market with the best print product possible and we believe the changes will make this possible.

"Coupling this with the improved Brisbane content on the theMusic.com.au, via the dedicated Brisbane homepage, we will continue to supply our Queensland readers with the most local content possible."
