And no one complained.

More Bring Me The Horizon More Bring Me The Horizon

Consider it an outright sledge or a unique compliment.

But either way, UK band Coldplay were virtually table-less by the time Bring Me The Horizon's performance at the NME Awards was finished, after frontman Oli Sykes jumped on Chris Martin and co's table during the song, causing it to break and leaving a huge mess in his wake.

After taking out the gong for NME Innovation Award at the ceremony held in Austin, Texas, BMTH later returned on stage to perform their track Happy Song, which saw Sykes venture out into the crowd, before he jumped on to Coldplay's table while singing and kicking glasses and bottles around him.

Sykes only removed himself from the table after the legs gave out and all of the tables contents came crashing down onto the ground.

To their credit, the Coldplay members seemed amused by Sykes stunt and stood to applaud BMTH's performance.

Martin later spoke to NME about the incident and said that that while he had not heard of the heavy rock outfit before, "It was great, very rock n roll."

Check out some fan-shot footage of the incident below.

Meanwhile, BMTH this week announced they'll be heading back to Australia this September for a national tour — head to theGuide for all details on venues and dates.
