Brian Wilson's 'Troubled' And 'Genius' Career Explored In New Documentary

Legendary singer/songwriter and Beach Boys member Brian Wilson has long been hailed as one of the most prolific and important musicians of all time. Famously recluse and exceedingly ambitious - Wilson has become an inspiration for artists throughout the generations.

Now, the Wilson is doing something he almost never does: sitting down for an interview and letting himself be in the limelight as the subject of the new documentary Long Promised Road.

Featuring interviews with a huge range of musicians and industry figures including Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Nick Jonas, Linda Perry and many more, the film tracks Wilson's life story from the early years to joining the Beach Boys, all the way through to his infamous Smile recording sessions and up to present day.

With Rolling Stone magazine editor and longtime friend of Wilson Jason Fine at the helm, the two walk hand-in-hand through the singer's life and tour themselves throughout California to track the history of the musician.
