'Book Of Mormon' Australian Production Set To Move To New City

And the winner is...

It looks like Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s acclaimed Broadway musical The Book Of Mormon is heading to Adelaide once its current Sydney run wraps.

As ABC reports, The Book Of Mormon posters have begun appearing around Adelaide, stating, "The Mormons are coming!”

Meanwhile, the production’s Australian Facebook page has shared an image of the poster on a bus stop with a link to a waitlist.

The award-winning production from the South Park masterminds opened on Broadway in 2011 before finally making its way to Australia and opening in Melbourne in 2017.

Speaking with The Music last year, co-director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw said “part of the success of Book Of Mormon is the fact that you had all of this shocking language in a musical, so people are singing about fucking a frog — they’re singing those words in a traditional musical”.

The Book Of Mormon is currently showing at Sydney Lyric Theatre until late October.
