The memory of the eminent AC/DC frontman Bon Scott will burn forever, with an official website launching today in honour of what would've been the singer's 75th birthday.

More AC/DC More AC/DC

While it's been just over four decades since the world lost Bon Scott, aka one of the most formidable forces ever to grace the rock'n'roll tapestry as the resident frontman for AC/DC; the striking legacy of this unforgettable artist has proven time and time again to defy time and expectations.

And while today would've officially seen Ronald Belford "Bon" Scott's turn 75, had we not lost him back in 1980, this bittersweet milestone has been fondly marked by the rocker's family, with the first ever official Bon Scott website launching on Scott's birthday, offering a hub for fans and peers to connect with and commemorate Acca Dacca's beloved fallen son.

Few can forget the "Bon-era" of AC/DC; from the snarl of Highway to Hell to the explosive TNT and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, it's little wonder that Scott's legacy has endured so significantly, long after his heaving vocals disappeared from these mortal realms.

And whether he's beating out the likes of Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant and Axl Rose as Classic Rock Magazine's 'Greatest Rock n'Roll Front Man of All Time' in 2004, or having his grave site officially declared as a cultural landmark by the National Trust of Australia, Scott's unforgettable presence and lyrical finesse continues to enthral and delight both OG fans who enviably can say they saw him live at his peak, as well as those just discovering the singer for the first time decades later.

But no matter when you first stumbled into the Bon Scott universe, the launching of the new official website, instigated by Scott's family in conjunction with his birthday commemorations today, offers the ultimate one-stop-shop for anyone wanting to know more about the legendary frontman, with fresh merch set to be up for grabs, and a range of tributes from the likes of Peter Garrett, John Paul Young, Andrew Farriss and many more; plus, there's also a chance for punters to share their own stories about seeing or meeting Scott in person on the platform.

The Bon Scott Estate, run by Scott's two brothers and his nephew, will officially oversee the new site to pay tribute and keep the singer's memory firmly alive:

"This is an invitation for Bon’s fans and friends to gather and share their memories and observations of him and his music.  His legacy lives in the hearts and minds of those who love him," said the Estate in an official statement.

Happy birthday Bon Scott. And wherever you are: let there be rock.
