When news broke earlier this week that actor Bob Odenkirk was rushed to hospital after collapsing on the set of his hit show, Better Call Saul, the world was on tenterhooks waiting on news regarding his health. Thankfully, it was not long after that Odenkirk's son, Nate tweeted this:
And the world collectively breathed a little easier. While there is still no word about the exact nature of what happened to the Breaking Bad star and comedy legend, we're all just bloody happy he's pulled through. Here are some of the lovely tweets his fans and contemporaries are sharing in regards to the good news:
Parks & Recreation and Fear The Walking Dead star Mo Collins
Comedic actor and fellow Newsradio star Dave Foley
The Office's Jenna Fischer
Legendary actor Michael McKean, who plays Odenkirk's brother on Better Call Saul
Comedian and podcaster Justin McElroy
Perhaps the most succinct and hilarious, however, comes from Odenkirk's longtime friend and comedy partner David Cross. The Arrested Development star and co-creator of cult comedy hits Mr Show and With Bob And David simply had this to say:
Having turned into a bonafide action star for his recent film, Nobody, Odenkirk chatted to The Green Room podcast earlier this year to tell us all about it. On playing a middle-aged badass, the actor said: "I wanted to play a lead character that was as relatable as possible," adding, "relatability is really what I thought I could contribute to this genre."
