Popular British rock outfit Blur have strongly hinted at their desire to record a new studio album. The catch? Only if it’s used for a feature film purpose.

Popular British rock outfit Blur have strongly hinted at their desire to record a new studio album. The catch? Only if it’s used for a feature film purpose.

Talking to English tabloid the Sun recently, front man Damon Albarn observed the possibility of a new full-length.

“If someone wanted us to do an album for a film I'd definitely be interested in something like that. So that's the offer,” Albarn told the Sun.

Additionally, bassist Alex James’ assertions support the potential news.

"There's never been a period where more than six months have gone by and [we haven’t] stuck our heads in and had a bish-bash... It's just really, really good fun."

Blur are currently preparing to perform at an Olympic closing ceremony Hyde Park gig.
