Bluesfest ProfileIn six weeks' time tens-of-thousands of music lovers will descend upon the Northern Rivers of New South Wales for the 25th instalment of Bluesfest, one of the most adored festivals anywhere on the planet – not just here in Australia.
With seven stages and five days' worth of music to trawl through, it takes a bit of planning to ensure you get the maximum amount of this veritable feast of musical goodness, so we're pretty pleased to hear that the Bluesfest timetable has now been released – albeit with a few sneaky openings for new acts to come in – and you can now start pencilling in your Easter treats.
The main stage headliners for each night will be John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews Band (two nights) and Erykah Badu, but you'll know that's merely scratching the surface of this enormous bill. From the blues-centric Juke Joint to the uber-classy Crossroads, there's lots to enjoy – and make sure you leave some space for some exciting new discoveries.
Tickets are around 90 percent sold out, so grab yours now if you're looking at making the trek. It happens at the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm from Thursday 17 April through to Monday 21.
