“We look forward to celebrating the return of live music and the finest artists this country has to offer with you at Bluesfest 2021."
Next year’s Bluesfest will officially be an all-Aussie affair, with organisers today confirming that all previously announced international acts will no longer appear on the 2021 line-up.
With the Easter Long Weekend event just over four months away, Bluesfest released a statement citing “international border restrictions” for its switch a 100% local bill, with Bon Iver, George Benson, Patti Smith & Her Band and others being pulled from the line-up.
Aussie acts confirmed in recent months include Jimmy Barnes, The Teskey Brothers, Tash Sultana, Kasey Chambers, Kev Carmody, Ocean Alley, Russell Morris, Briggs, The Living End and more.
“With our last three all-Aussie artist announcements, your response and support has already been incredible,” the statement reads.
“We are fast approaching 70% sold out for what we believe will be our approved capacity... We look forward to celebrating the return of live music and the finest artists this country has to offer with you at Bluesfest 2021. We can't wait to see you there!”
Tickets for the festival are on sale now, head to theGuide for all the info.
