Following news that beloved actor and stuntman Johann Ofner was fatally shot during the filming of a Bliss N Eso music video last month, the band has announced a special tribute show in his honour while rescheduling their album release.

The 28-year-old was shot by a gun loaded with blanks while the clip for Friend Like You was being filmed, and a charity concert has now been announced for next Friday, March 3, at Coolangatta Hotel in Ofner's hometown of the Gold Coast, with all proceeds donated to a trust for his daughter.

Coolangatta Hotel, ticketing outlet Oztix and suppliers are all waiving their fees, while a t-shirt designed for the cause will also see funds donated to the trust.

“The past few weeks have been some of the toughest times we’ve ever been through both individually and as a band,” Bliss N Eso said in a statement today.

“It has been a constant rollercoaster of emotions and we really appreciate all the ongoing support from our friends, family and loyal fans.

“We continue to offer our support to the family and friends of Johann Ofner who tragically passed away on the set of our music video. We are thankful for his family’s blessing in allowing us to put on this tribute concert, to celebrate the life of this amazing man and loving father.”

Bliss N Eso’s highly anticipated new record, Off The Grid, was due for the release early March but has now been pushed back until April 28.
