Blink-182 bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus has told NME that the band will begin recording their new album early next year, after the band will be in the country as a part of the Soundwave 2013 line up.

Blink-182 bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus has told NME that the band will begin recording their new album early next year, after the band will be in the country as a part of the Soundwave 2013 line up.

Hoppus has said that the band "continue writing through the end of the year... and begin recording after our tour of Australia in February." 

The band's Soundwave 2013 apperances, beginning in February, will be the first time the band has returned to Australia since they reformed in early 2009. Along with the Soundwave dates, the band will be playing headline sideshows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, with the Brisbane and Melbourne shows already being sold out.
