Fans in the Blink-182 Tour 2023 Facebook group have expressed joy at scoring Restricted View Tickets, stating that they’ll never sleep on tickets with that description again.

Sharing a photo with a great (albeit side) view from last week’s show at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, fan Amber Phillips wrote, “This was ‘restricted view’ from section 8 row G of Monday’s Melbourne show. Will never sleep on side restricted view tickets again!”

Another fan, Andrew Kelso, shared a picture from “almost the identical seat” at a Sydney show, stating that the ticket cost $150. It's hard to argue with the cost when you’re so close and get an awesome view of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker rip it up on stage.

The conversation on the Facebook group continued, with user Ben Williams writing, “Man that's like a gold seat haha who cares about the lighting above!”

Jade Hendriks thanked fellow Facebook users for their posts, stating, “S8 side view …. AMAZING!!!! So unbelievably excited. Would never had got them without your posts.”

Jason Norris wrote alongside a great photo, “They oversold our tickets and Ticketek said ‘we have restricted seats as an apology + a full refund’…… the universe is good!!!” Sam Robinson quipped, “This is way better than being halfway down the stands and having to bring your binoculars”.

Blink-182 wrapped up the Australian leg of their world tour last week with special guests Rise Against.

The first of 15 Australian shows was a raging success, with The Music reviewer Michael Hollick declaring in a live review, “blink-182’s performance was a time capsule, providing both longtime and newer fans a chance to relive the days when baggy jeans, chains, and dyed spikes were the epitome of cool. The band may have grown older, but their music remains forever young.”

You can read the review here.

Blink-182 played a massive 27-song setlist on their Australian tour, which included seven tracks from their latest LP, One More Time…, with fans down under being treated to the live debuts of Fuck Face, Turpentine and Anthem Pt 3 (the latter played in full for the first time).

The remainder of the band’s set was a balance of their hit albums, with the pop-punk trio playing five tracks each from their self-titled album, Enema Of The State and Take Off Your Pants And Jacket. They then performed one song each from the records Dude Ranch, California and Neighborhoods, with two from The Mark, Tom, And Travis Show (The Enema Strikes Back!).
