Black Swan State Theatre Company Secures Future With New Funding

A “game-changer”

Arts funding is often overlooked when it comes to Government budgets, but WA’s Black Swan State Theatre Company has had some financial pressures relieved with the introduction of the Production Fund.

The new funding was secured at the company’s inaugural Philanthropy Gala Dinner last month when Minderoo Foundation confirmed they would match all donation made on the night.

The long-term fund has been described as a “game-changer” by Chair of the Board of Directors Mark Barnaba and will “ensure the company is in good stead for the next stage of its journey”.

“The fund has been established to provide long-term security for Black Swan, and will enable the company to continue to develop works of exceptional quality,” Barnaba said.

Black Swan is currently showing Once in Royal David’s City until 9 April.
