Birdz Shares His 'LEGACY' On New Collab With Missy Higgins

Rapper and producer Birdz has just dropped a brand new track to celebrate the launch of his upcoming album - due out next month.

The Butchulla man collaborated with Aus songwriting royalty Missy Higgins for the soaring new track Legacy Pt 2, as the newest taste of music from his forthcoming album, LEGACY.

The track is a multi-generational love letter to his family, his identity, and how he will use the lessons passed down to him to the next in line.

“My father, against all odds, was able to break the cycle and provide me with the opportunities to grow and succeed," the performer explained. "Now I feel that it’s my responsibility to take the knowledge and guidance my father gave me and pass it on to my son so he can take it all to the next level.

“I want to empower my son to feel confident in who he is and represent where he’s from. It’s important that our young ones know where they’re from and maintain that connection and be proud of it. Also to know that they deserve to succeed just as much as anyone else.”
