He might have once screamed, `Despite all my rage I’m still just a rat in a cage’ during the iconic Smashing Pumpkins’ anthem `Bullet with Butterfly Wings’, but Billy Corgan has certainly toned it down in his older age, recently announcing he’s opening his own tea shop.
In a somewhat surprising move, the Smashing Pumpkins frontman has set up the tea shop titled Madame ZuZu’s in a suburb of Chicago.
"I'm a tea guy and living in Highland Park since 2003, I've always wanted to open a salon like this for everyone to enjoy," Corgan said in a statement.
"This is a place with no age boundaries. We hope to attract everyone from young students to seniors. With a blend of music, photo galleries, art displays and speakers, I think Madame ZuZu's offers something for everyone."
Corgan reportedly performed acoustic sets during the opening of Madame ZuZu’s yesterday.
Yet, this isn’t the first time Corgan has tried his hand at something a little odd. In the past he’s launched his own pro wrestling league, created a puppet-wrestling event and launched a new-age inspirational website.
