New Worlds for Bill Murray

Just when you thought Hollywood legend Bill Murray couldn’t get any cooler, the actor and comedian announces he’ll be releasing an album later this year.

According to New York Times, Murray’s debut album, New Worlds, will be a classical affair and feature songs (including West Side Story hits, Stephen Foster’s Jeanie With the Light Brown Hair, Van Morrison, Gershwin and more) and literary readings to music by cellist Jan Vogler.

Being released under the name Bill Murray, Jan Vogler & Friends, the project first started taking shape in 2013 when Murray and Vogler became friends on a flight.

New Worlds is expected to drop in August with a number of US gigs planned in support.
