Big White Score Opening Slot On Small World Festival At Sydney Park

A big hit at the recent BIGSOUND event up in Brisbane, Sydney-based five-piece Big White have been selected by Small World Festival and monthly showcase night for emerging local artists, VISIONS, to play the opening slot of the festival on 19 September.

Building their sound on a fusion of British New Wave and Australian jangle pop, Big White spent the beginning of 2014 travelling together through Europe, where they recorded their first single, EOFY, in a Berlin bomb shelter. Signing to Burger Records they made their US debut earlier this year at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

Headlining the Small World Festival are The Church, the rest of the bill including DZ Deathrays, PVT, Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders, PALMS, All Our Exes Live In Texas, Bon Voyage, Summer Flake, Green Buzzard, The Lulu Raes as well as a stack of DJs.
