You had to be quick to get a holographic ticket this morning.

The first release of tickets for the 2013 Big Day Out went on sale this morning, mere hours after the festival announced their line up for 2013. The first release of tickets were for a limited edition holographic ticket that were sold exclusively through clothing retailer General Pants across the nation.

It was early this afternoon that the festival took to their Facebook and Twitter pages to inform the public that these tickets were now all sold out. There are still tickets available for purchase, but not until Thuirsday night when they go on sale through the festival website at 7pm.

The purchase price for tickets has been set at a flat $165 this year, with the festival choosing to absorb all fees and charges to give ticket buyers a genuine price from the outset. There is also the option of the Like A Boss ticket this year that, for $265, gets a punter entry to the festival through a dedicated gate, pass-outs all day and access to the VIP lounges and bars on site.
