Influential German composer James Last has passed away aged 86 in his Florida residence following a brief illness.
The big band leader made a new for himself at the forefront of easy-listening music, and continued to tour the world even at 86.
His farewell tour, Non-Stop Music, was taken from the title of his 1965 debut record, Non-Stop Dancing, and wrapped up in April.
The musician performed over 2,500 times in his six decade career.
