Mercury Prize nominated Scottish rock royalty ‘Biffy Clyro’ are returning to Australia this December to storm our cities with their astounding live shows!
Their current album ‘Only Revolutions’ has been storming the international charts and has propelled the band beyond expectations. In the UK it reached #3 in the album charts and went gold within days of release. Previous singles from the album have included ‘Mountains’ - the band’s biggest chart success to date, entering the UK chart in the top 5 and selling over 100,000 copies. The band were also nominated for two Kerrang! Awards for Best British Band and Best Music Video for ‘The Captain’ for which they won the latter.
This month sees the release of their next single ‘God & Satan’ from their album ‘Only Revolutions’.
The track ‘God & Satan’ is produced by Garth Richardson (Melvins, Shihad, Nickelback) and is Biffy at their most open and introspective, exploring religion and the afterlife.
Their Australian success is equally as impressive, with ‘Mountains’ achieving Top 15 airplay status and the band’s second single ‘The Captain’ was quickly snatched up as the theme tune for the AFL’s 2010 season.
After a huge summer on the festival circuit with recent shows at Reading and Leeds, Biffy have scored the huge support slot for Muse as they tour Australia this December, and a handful of side shows around these dates, that are guaranteed to sell quickly.
