Beyoncé's Mammoth Renaissance Tour Setlist Revealed

Beyoncé began her long-awaited, spectacular extravaganza of a tour last night, kicking off the Renaissance run at Friends Arena in Stockholm. Aside from her one-off show at Atlantis The Royal in Dubai earlier this year, last night’s show was Queen Bey’s first full concert since her headlining sets at Coachella 2018.

Beyoncé’s massive first show of the Renaissance tour, of course, promoted her new album of the same name but also featured tracks from six of her other albums, and her The Lion King: The Gift track, My Power.

The first show was also night one at Friends Arena, and last night, Beyoncé performed all 16 tracks from Renaissance. 

She also threw in some old-school classics, such as Crazy In Love, Naughty Girl, Love On Top, Run The World (Girls), Drunk In Love, Formation and many more, making up a whopping 40-song setlist (including medleys). Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour remains in Europe until 9 July before heading back to the US, with the first leg of the tour concluding in late September. She hasn’t announced any Australian dates yet, but when the Single Ladies singer returns, it will be her first time down under in over ten years.

Sydney’s Allianz and Accor Stadiums are currently in competition about which venue will host Beyoncé upon her Australian return.

Accor Stadium is almost double the size of the 45,500-capacity Allianz – Accor has a cap of 83,500 – and the owners find it “strange” that Venues NSW pitched the smaller stadium for a potential Beyoncé show.

“When you think of concerts that have been held at Accor, they are the major acts in the world, like Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and Adele,” Allison Taylor, the Chief Executive of the Sydney Olympic Park Business Association, told The Sydney Morning Herald.

“So, why would a star like Beyoncé and her promoters choose Allianz when the other major stars in the world choose Australia’s major events precinct, Sydney Olympic Park?”

The competition between Accor and Allianz Stadiums kicked off last month when Chris O’Keefe, host on 2GB Sydney, said on his radio show: “We’re in tough negotiations right now with Beyoncé and the Foo Fighters because we don’t know if we can accommodate them at Allianz Stadium.”

He continued, “We just paid a billion dollars for the stadium, and we don’t know if we can say, ‘Hey, Beyoncé, come and play here,’ or ‘Hey, Fooies, come and play here,’” because of a new planning permit aimed squarely at the venue. The planning permit – or cap – would have only allowed for four to six concerts a year to be held at Allianz Stadium.

However, last week, the NSW State Government revealed that it’s “working to lift the concert cap” at Allianz Stadium.
