Between You & Me Drop New Single 'Change' To Celebrate News Of 2022 Tour

Aus pop punk sensations Between You And Me have announced they're hitting the road for a massive nationwide tour next February - and have celebrated the announcement with the release of a brand new single.

Change is a rollicking call to arms for the leaders of the world - to take charge and make a positive difference in climate change, environmentalism and more.

“I wrote Change in late 2019 because the world as I saw it, was going through a scary period,” vocalist Jake Wilson explained of the tune.

 “Those that were in political power were deliberately neglecting the serious signs of global climate issues – in fact some were even making decisions that would have huge ramifications to increase carbon emissions. It felt as though our leaders were focused on their capitalist ideals instead of representing the people."

he continued, "in Australia in late 2019, whilst our country was burning from numerous bushfires, our Prime Minister was holidaying overseas. To me that was a defining moment.”

The single leads the upcoming LP Armageddon which is slated for release next month. On the creation of the new LP, Wilson stated, “whilst it took three years between releases, the journey to release Armageddon has certainly shaped the way it sounds. The past 18 months has given us the chance to pause and reflect on the opportunities that we have in front of us."

The singer added, "we get to write and perform music for people across the world and this release has become monumental for us. Whilst it has been an extremely difficult period for our band to navigate, Armageddon certainly wouldn’t have turned out the way it did without all the challenges along the way.”
