"There’s something special about Bellingen and this wonderful festival."
With only 22 days to go until its 2019 edition, Bello Winter Music Festival has unveiled further details about a few of the fest's iconic events.
The Bread & Butter collaborative performances will return as a curated group of artists from the festival bill perform a series of rolling duets.
This year will see Laura Jean partner with The Maes, Pony Face team up Claire Ann Taylor, The Mamas join forces with Gold Member and Alana Wilkinson work with Feelds.
Bead & Butter is the brainchild of festival programmer Kate Atkinson who said, “Many of the Bread & Butter artists have never met before, let alone performed together but often they have admired each other’s work.
“When pairing the artists together, I say there are no rules on what song they choose. The only guideline is to have fun. I ask them to not tell me. I'm always blown away, and so is the audience, by their excellent and creative collaborations.”
Beloved RocKwiz co-host Brian Nankervis will also return to the festival for On The Couch.
Spinning yarns with Nankervis this year will be Tammi Savoy, Chris Casello, Leah Flanagan, Emily Wurramara, Psycho Zydeco and Bread & Butter artists Laura Jean and Claire Ann Taylor.

"There’s something special about Bellingen and this wonderful festival," said Nankervis.
"Whether I’m on the couch in the Cedar Bar, performing poetry in a hairdressing salon, walking by the river or dancing in the Memorial Hall, I feel very lucky and determined to put on the best show I can."
