Behemoth's Nergal clarifies The Devil Wears Prada Bible incident

Articulate and affable yet never conservative and restrained, Behemoth's Nergal (real name: Adam Darski) has shown a knack for providing sincere and forthright opinions.

However, this sincerity has not always resulted in pleasant experiences for the Polish musician. You'll remember Nergal previously faced the possibility of a maximum two-year jail sentence, after tearing up a Bible during a performance in his homeland. The case was eventually dismissed during appeal.

Similarly, another past event involves a band that is, perhaps, the antithesis of Behemoth...The Devil Wears Prada.

In Nergal's 2015 released memoir, 'Confessions of a Heretic', the musician observed an event in Kentucky, where the vocalist/guitarist ripped up another Bible on stage, allegedly given to him by The Devil Wears Prada.

"On the last show of the fest...Behemoth was on there. Someone threw a Bible at me on stage, and I was walking off and I had it, and one of their [Behemoth's] techs came up to me and he was like, 'Oh, can I have that?'. I was like, 'Sure'," The Devil Wears Prada vocalist Mike Hranica explained to Loudwire initially.

"He went on stage, and was like, 'One of the members of the last band tried to give me this [the Bible]'," added guitarist Jeremy DePoyster.
